KYC is only for Project Owners

KYC for Project Owners

As you know, at CrowdFundPi, we take the safety of our investors very seriously. We hate scams and rugpulls. Because of that, we've built many features and tools to help you make informed decisions about whether a crowdfunding project is worth investing in or not.

When browsing current and past crowdfunding projects, you may notice that some projects have a KYC badge next to their names. This short article is here to explain what that means and what it entails for all stakeholders.

KYC Explained

At CrowdFundPi, Know Your Customer (KYC) is the process of verifying the identity of project owners to ensure that the person communicating with us is really who they claim to be. How does it work? Project owners submit identity documents (Passport, National ID) through an automated system. This process is similar to KYC on major exchanges like Binance.

What Does It Mean for You?

The KYC process helps prevent scams and rugpulls on our platform by deterring suspicious developers. If a team member of a KYCed project scams investors:

  • We will reveal their identity.
  • We will publicly share this information so legal action can be taken.

For investors: If you have serious concerns about a project and have solid proof it's a scam, please contact us immediately with as much evidence as possible. We'll investigate and get back to you with the results.

For project owners: If you want to build trust with investors, we highly recommend contacting our KYC support team and applying for KYC verification. This will legitimize your project. KYC may take 24–48 hours, so please get in touch early.

KYC is one of the powerful features that make CrowdFundPi the best crowdfunding platform available. It also contributes to cleaning up the crypto space by showing that actions have consequences—even in a decentralized world.

KYC Badge

The KYC badge is a special recognition on CrowdFundPi, aimed at encouraging project owners to stand behind their identity. It helps verify the authenticity of the project and increases trust from the community.

To earn the KYC badge, you must:

  1. Complete KYC with CrowdFundPi.
  2. Upload a public video AMA to YouTube and share it with your community (via Telegram and/or Discord). The video must remain public and include community interaction, such as live Q&A.
  3. Submit the YouTube video to CrowdFundPi via your private support group.

Once these steps are completed, our team will verify the match between your KYC and AMA video. If successful, you'll receive the KYC badge.

Contact for KYC

CrowdFundPi charges 314 Pi per KYC, and the process may take 24–48 hours. Please contact our official KYC support team on Telegram:https://t.me/pcfsupport

Refund Policy

This article provides full instructions and requirements for completing KYC. If you do not agree with the process, please do not send payment. By paying the KYC processing fee, you agree that no refunds will be provided under any circumstances.

You must always be truthful and use your real documents, legal name, and real project role. If you fail to comply, your KYC will be immediately canceled without a refund.

Important Disclaimer

Receiving a KYC badge from CrowdFundPi does NOT mean we endorse or recommend the project — even if we host an AMA with them.
